Central Coast Commercial Fisheries Association
Canadian fisheries management has a unique system in place to begin restoring fishing opportunities to the country’s First Nations, who have been relying on their ocean resources since time immemorial. We helped the Central Coast Commercial Fisheries Association secure additional access to BC’s halibut fishery for local indigenous fishers.
“We know we’re going to be here, we aren’t going anywhere, we’ve been here for thousands of years and we want to make sure that everybody can have that same history, it’s very important to us that we are able to sustain the thing that’s been sustaining us for so long.”
